I purchased these to hang on the top of my fence in a dark corner of the yard. The fence is short, only 3' above the ground in some places, and they do help with lighting that area up. They're right off my bedroom, and at night some colors are too bright for me to sleep. Some colors are better for lighting up area (like the clear), while others for use while sleeping (like the red). For fun, I put the lights on a slow fade and it moves through all the colors. We all love the lights in our backyard. They've been up a couple months now, and work very well. Of course, in the winter they'll receive less sun, so it will be interesting to see how long they glow at night. I love that they turn on once it gets dark! I definitely recommend purchasing these solar lights!
